Switch glass, turning curtains obsolete? Windows. Your home wouldn’t be the same without them. However, they are but a mistress in our marriage with privacy. We literally hide them behind a curtain, if we want our beloved privacy. Now, wouldn’t it be everyone’s dream to find someone , or in our case , something that offers the best of both worlds? Around 100 B.C. the Romans figured out how to increase the transparency of glass and started using it for tiny windows. However, it wasn’t until the 20 th century that we managed to create considerable flat surfaces. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and it’s struggles Picture the intelligence of the smartest person you know and multiply this intelligence with the biggest number you can come up with.   Additionally, imagine this person knowing everything mankind has ever discovered. Getting an answer to all of these questions is only one of the reasons scientists are developing AI. The term AI covers all software capable of thinking or learning on its own. Don’t worry, none of the developed software – that we know of – is taking over the world just yet. The self-learning runner Google created is a nice example of what is achieved so far. Tony Stark, inventor and creator of the iron man suit, is without doubt one of the greatest minds in the MCU. His futuristic suit gives him all the powers he needs to be a superhero. The question is, could it be improved? In the past, we tried to create similar things, financed by the military to enhance soldiers’ strength. Lacking the technology we have today, the suits didn’t quite meet the expectations and armies pulled their funds. The interest in the exoskeletons returned, but was more focussed on the disabled, restoring their ability to walk. You might start to wonder how technology for the disabled could improve Stark’s suit, let me explain. Whereas Stark’s suit copies his body’s movements, the exoskeleton needs to replace a limb or an arm. You guessed it right, we’ve come to the tricky part, there is nothing to copy.
